Northview at Enterprise Football Rivalry Plays Friday in AHSAA/NFHS Network GOW

MONTGOMERY – The NFHS Network’s subscriber-based AHSAA School Broadcast Program will live-stream 80 events tonight through October 4 – putting the AHSAA over 350 events on the year.
The headliner will be Friday night’s Enterprise at Northview battle Dothan’s Rip Hewes Stadium, which will be the AHSAA/NFHS Network Game of the Week. Week 5 is a non-region week for most schools across the state, and this long-running rivalry pits the Class 6A Cougars and Class 7A Wildcats, both looking to use the contest as a chance to gain momentum heading into the second half of the 2018 season.
The contest is one of 31 football games slated for the NFHS Network, tonight and Friday. Enterprise High School’s NFHS Network School Broadcast Program will be producing the   contest for the NFHS Network.
Coach David Faulkner, in his seventh season as head coach, has a career 67-51 record with a 38-33 slate with EHS. The Wildcats finished 10-2 in 2017 but struggled to 2-8 last year. Enterprise opened the year with two straight wins but lost to Prattville 46-28 last week to fall to 0-3 in Class 7A, Region 2 last week. The program is a proud one with a 644-315-34 record overall and two state titles.
Northview and Enterprise have played annually since the Dothan school opened its doors in 1978. Coach Josh Parrish, in his second year as head coach, directed the Cougars to a 23-22 win over their rivals last year to help set the stage for a new beginning under his direction. Northview, 2-3 this season, is 1-2 in 6A, Region 3 after downing Russell County 38-23 last week. Northview has compiled a 191-230 record overall over the last 40 years with Parrish’s dad Harry Wayne Parrish guiding the Cougars to a 91-51 record in the school’s first 13 years of existence – including state championships in 1981 and 1985. Since he stepped down in 2000, his son became the ninth head coach at the school over the last 28 years.
A total of 50 football games, 29 volleyball matches and one dance/cheerleading competition are currently listed on the NFHS Network schedule log for tonight through next Thursday. Jeff Davis and Sidney Lanier will be live-streamed from Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl as part of the Montgomery Public Schools SBP tonight at 7 p.m. Other top games set for Friday include: unbeaten Class 5A Briarwood Christian (4-0) at unbeaten Class 6A Hartselle (4-0); Class 5A LeFlore (1-3) at Class 6A Saraland (5-0) in the Mobile area, Minor (2-3) at unbeaten Auburn (5-0) and Albertville (2-2) at Boaz (5-0) two other top games in East Alabama.
All seven classifications will be represented with Donoho broadcasting its home game with Berry in a 1A contest at Anniston.
Volleyball action continues to have a strong presence on the NFHS Network beginning tonight with three varsity matches. Enterprise hosts Prattville, Eufaula hosts Northview and Smiths Station hosts Auburn tonight.
NFHS Network subscribers will have access to all the games. To subscribe to the NFHS Network, go to the following:
